Time to Change the Layout a Bit

As you can probably notice, I have changed the layout of Happiness Hunters a little bit. What do you think, is it going to the right direction? I’d appreciate some feedback in the comment section, because it’s so hard to know what kind of layout you readers would like to see. :)

I think it looks really nice Petteri. Very clean and easy to read.

    Thanks Joshua.

I think the layout and design can never be 100% complete, it’s usually in a constant development. I tried to make this one a little bit lighter and simpler, hopefully I succeeded.

    Hi Petteri,
I like the layout — it focuses my eyes on your writing and I like that.
Each person’s layout is a tremendous reflection on who he or she is. I think you should keep going with you gut and doing what feels right. I changed my layout a few times before I hit upon something that I felt was really me.

I also like the header font (Happiness Hunters) — it’s classy and sophisticated yet approachable — seems to be an accurate reflection of you, yes?

    Great job.

Yes, you are definitely right, everyone should follow their guts and try to make the site to reflect the person behind it. And at least I hope that your perception of me is correct.

I just never seem to be satisfied with the design more than a few weeks max – maybe I don’t know myself well enough.

    :)

Your design is definitely unique and reflects you as a person well. Have you ever thought of using your nice illustrations in the site design somehow?

    Hi Petteri,
Thanks for the kind reply to my comment. You’re awesome!

The first five months I blogged I was using a theme (free) with WordPress, but it drove me nuts. So I finally caved and bought a premium theme which allowed me to easily implement the design elements (header, buttons, etc.). So, thanks so much for saying you like my site design — I had fun creating it.

Hmmm…I never thought of using my illustrations for my site. I feel that side of me needs much more work (as opposed to graphic design via my Mac). Thanks for putting the bee in my bonnet — I’ll have to think about that!

Sorry for my long-winded reply here. I’m enjoying your blog very much, Petteri. :)
